The Segway Ninebot Max G3 E, designed for the European market, comes with a motor delivering 750W of nominal power.
Maximum motor power reaches 2000W, while the European version has a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
This motor already provides strong performance for everyday riding. However, Riders looking for additional motor power can upgrade to the motor used on the US version of the Segway Ninebot Max G3.
Segway Ninebot Max G3 US Motor: 850W and 2200W Maximum Power
The Segway Ninebot Max G3 US motor is more powerful than the European motor.
Nominal power increases to 850W, compared with 750W on the European version. Maximum power also increases from 2000W to 2200W.
On public roads, speed must remain within the limits required by local regulations. Depending on the scooter configuration, speeds of up to 45 km/h may be possible, but these higher speeds should only be used on private property where legally permitted.
The main reason for installing the US motor is therefore not simply top speed, but the additional motor power and performance available.

The upgrade is relatively straightforward: remove the original Segway Ninebot Max G3 E motor and replace it with the 850W US motor.
Both motors are identical in terms of dimensions, allowing the US motor to mechanically replace the European motor without modifying the chassis to accommodate a different motor size.
Before starting, completely switch off your Max G3 and place it on a stable support. During reassembly, pay particular attention to the motor cable routing, electrical connections, wheel alignment and axle tightening.

What Should You Check After Replacing the Motor?
